Refund Policy

Welcome to AINSOFT EDGE LTD ("we," "us," or "our"). We are a private company limited by shares, incorporated in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2020, with registration number 8837588. Our principal business activity is to build B2C and B2B solutions for education and other management systems, primarily through Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be requested and processed for our services, including our current SaaS product at ainsexamination.com (AINS Examination).

Please note that each of our SaaS products may have its own specific refund policy, which supplements this company-wide policy. For product-specific details, refer to the refund policy on the respective SaaS platform. If there is a conflict between this policy and a product-specific policy, the product-specific policy will prevail for that service.

We comply with applicable laws, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018 in Nigeria, which protects consumer rights regarding refunds for defective or non-conforming services. By using our services, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

  1. Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds are available under specific circumstances to ensure fairness and compliance with consumer protection laws. We evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Eligible scenarios include:

  • Billing Errors: If you are charged incorrectly (e.g., double billing or incorrect amount), we will refund the excess amount.
  • Service Not Provided: If we fail to deliver the subscribed service as described, or if there is a significant downtime or defect that prevents use, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund.
  • Cancellation Within Trial Period: If your subscription includes a free trial, you may cancel during the trial without charge. Refunds for payments made after the trial are subject to the terms below.
  • Legal Requirements: Refunds required by law, such as if the service is found to be non-conforming under FCCPA.

We generally do not offer refunds for:

  • Subscriptions that have been used beyond the trial period.
  • Change of mind after accessing the service.
  • One-time purchases or add-ons once delivered.
  • Refunds requested more than 30 days after the transaction date, unless required by law.

For B2B clients, refunds are governed by the terms in your service agreement, which may include pro-rated refunds for unused periods.

  1. Refund Process

To request a refund, follow these steps:

  1. Contact our support team at support@ainssoft.com with your order details, including invoice number, date of purchase, and reason for the refund request.
  2. Provide any supporting evidence, such as screenshots of billing errors or descriptions of service issues.
  3. We will review your request within 7-14 business days and notify you of the decision.
  4. If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method (e.g., via Stripe, Flutterwave, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or Microsoft Store). Processing times may vary by provider, typically 5-10 business days.

Note: We adhere to the refund systems and policies of each payment platform we integrate (Stripe, Flutterwave, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Microsoft Store). Refunds processed through these platforms are subject to their specific terms, conditions, and timelines. Users are strongly advised to review the refund policy of the chosen payment system prior to making a purchase, as these may impose additional requirements or limitations. Any transaction fees from payment providers are non-refundable. Refunds for partial periods will be pro-rated based on usage.

  1. Non-Refundable Items

The following are generally non-refundable:

  • Digital services or content accessed or downloaded.
  • Custom development or consulting fees.
  • Renewals of subscriptions if not canceled before the renewal date.
  • Any promotions, discounts, or bundled services.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation prevents future billing but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current period, unless eligible under Section 1.

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with the updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
